StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican American actress. Her breakout role came in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. The actress went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016), and Annabelle: Creation (2017). On TV, Sigman starred in Narcos (2015) and S.W.A.T (2017) for the first and second seasons of both shows. Sigman was the daughter of an Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman (a New York Yankees Scout from Kansas) They both were born in Ciudad Obregon. Sigman is a U.S. citizen through her father. [2][3][4] Her father, the professional baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. Her career began in Mexican television before making her film debut in Rio de Oro. In 2011 she was cast in the lead role in the film Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime drama film, Miss Bala. Six years ago, the Mexican entry for Best Foreign Language Film was picked at the 84th Academy Awards. [7][8] But it didn't make it onto the final shortlist. 9.
