Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a superstar who crossed over completely from traditional music into pop culture, turning into a pop icon that will endure forever, and sweeping over everywhere. Swift has shed her country roots as if they were second skins revealing herself to be the smartest pop singer/songwriter within her generation. She has the ability to take the zeitgeist of today and create her unique. It was apparent in her earliest songs especially on the neo pay homage of Tim McGraw. On her second release Fearless (2008) Swift showcased a writer getting to understand her. Fearless became a worldwide hit but not only in North America (where it was certified six times platinum for the Top Ten Hits Love Story as well as "You Belong with Me") however, in Canada, Australia, the U.K. and other countries. Swift soared to the top of her game after the release of Speak Now. Swift's popularity continued to grow through her subsequent three albums -- Red (2012) 1989 (2014), and Reputation (2017) and Reputation in 2017 which saw her move into a pop realm that she had already been a part of. She was in the forefront of pop until she reverted to her style with her sibling albums, folklore and Evermore in the year 2020.
